Together with Ed Randall's Fan for the Cure and the New York Yankees, NewYork-Presbyterian in partnership with Columbia University Irving Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medicine is pleased to host a PSA Screening for men at Yankee Stadium in connection with Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.
These free screenings – a simple, easy way to test for prostate cancer – will be conducted by NewYork-Presbyterian urologists under the direction of Dr. James J. McKiernan, Urologist-in-Chief, NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, who sits on our charity’s Medical Advisory Board. Dr. McKiernan and his colleagues will conduct screenings for men over 40.
The blood test for the PSA screening, as well as the distribution of prostate cancer awareness materials, will take place prior to and during the game between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees on Thursday, September 20, 2018. Screenings will be available from 3:00 p.m.
The testing area and information tables will be located within the Stadium gates in Section 220, adjacent to the River Avenue escalators. To reach our location, you will need a ticket to the game itself.
