We will also not be sponsoring any visiting subinternships. We are now offering a 4 week virtual subinternship for the months of September and October. The objectives of this rotation are primarily to expose the student to advanced concepts in urology, to further your understanding of what a career in urologic surgery will entail, to give you an understanding of what it is like to be a urology resident at NYP-Columbia, and to introduce you to the structure and culture of our department at Columbia. This will be accomplished through virtual clinical exposure, frequent small group meetings, and social events. In addition, this rotation will serve as a means of evaluating your potential for future accomplishments in this field.
The final resident selection will be submitted to the AUA Urology Residency Match. Match results will be sent to urology programs, applicants, and medical schools in January 2021. Exact Dates are to be determined.
